Have You Ever Met A "Celebrity" or Actually See One Face To Face?
by minimus inwhile i was in new york i walked by two men and one looked like the comedian jackie mason whom i adore.
i looked at him and said, "i just wanted to say how much i enjoy your shows.
i've seen you perform a number of times".

Life Is Grand
I had front row seats at a Stones Concert a couple of years ago-I could have touched them-it was SO AMAZING! Keith Richards threw his guitar pick out into the crowd and the girl beside me caught it...I'll never go to another Stones concert again because it'll never be the same. My hubby works for Yamaha and was working a show in Toronto a couple of years ago and Kiefer Sutherland walked right past the booth and locked eyes with him...OH MAN, I would have been all over him like a dirty shirt.... Got a phone call today I hope I never get again!
by Bumble Bee inmy husband called me today - and right away i knew from the sound of his voice something was wrong.
he didn't say much, just that he had an accident at work and was at the hospital, could i please come right away.
thankfully he was not seriously physically hurt, but he was in shock and they had to give him some lorazepam to settle him down.

I can relate-I got a call from my husband a couple of years back-he was at work and I could tell that he was in huge pain. He was letting me know that his boss was taking him to the Emergency room because he was having severe pain in his abdominal area, but had no idea what was wrong. Of course, I'm just picturing a ruptured appendix, or heaven knows what. Anyways, it's a good hours drive from where I work to the hospital they took him too, so I drove there in a mad panic just imagining the worst the whole way there.
By the time I got there, he had seen a doctor-turned out that he had a kidney stone-I was just so relieved he wasn't dying! Of course, I think HE thought he was going to die, but he made it through!!!
Glad to hear that your husband is going to be okay!

How much of a man are you? Problems with rats, I just can't do it
by needproof inlast summer, i noticed a rat living underneath my shed in the back garden.
i tried my hardest to convince my female counterpart that we had a rat living with us, but as usual was met with a wall of silence.
so time passed and i didn't see rodney the rat again, so i just figured that he had gone away some place else.

As guilty as you feel, I think you did what you had to do-you don't want to have a rat infestation-they can carry so many diseases...
I know how you feel though. Every winter we seem to end up with a couple of mice in our house-just looking for warmth and maybe a little nibble of food I suppose. Hubby sets up the mouse trap in the kitchen cupboard-baits it with peanut butter and the poor little buggers fall for it each and every time. It makes me sick with guilt, but the same thing-don't need our family getting sick with their diseases so there really isn't any choice.
However, I won't even look in the cupboard that holds the mouse trap-that is my husbands job-and he's so sweet(sarcasm)-he makes sure he describes in great detail how each poor dead mouse looked when he found it...like I need to know!
I think it's time we get a cat!!!

How "little" does it take to make you happy?
by JH insome people seem to need a lot to be happy, while others are happy just with the minimum.. what small thing made you happy lately?
your husband perhaps.... .
ok, for me, a sunny warm day, and i'll be outside and walking around and happy.

Life Is Grand
I am so happy at night when all of my kids and my hubby are home safe and sound....then, when I hear the sound of a police, ambulance or firetruck siren go off(which happens far too frequently in our city), my heart doesn't jump into my throat with worry that it's one of the ones I love in trouble....THAT makes me very happy.
